Michael Beale is determined to reshape the Gers squad to make them competitive again and end their city rivals Celtic’s dominance.

Rangers have already signed a host of new faces in the ongoing window and they are keen on bringing in a midfielder.

And they identified LAFC’s 24-year-old midfielder Cifuentas as their priority target for the summer.

Rangers have managed to negotiate a £1.2m deal with the Major League Soccer outfit to secure the signature of Cifuentes.

Now it has been claimed that the central midfielder has arrived in Glasgow to complete his move to Rangers.

Cifuentes has made 19 league appearances for LAFC this season and provided four assists while scoring once.

Rangers will open their new campaign against Kilmarnock on Saturday and it remains to be seen whether the player will be available for the game.
