Liverpool have signed three midfielders this summer and are expected to be in the market for one more before the window slams shut.

Gravenberch, who made just six league starts last season for Bayern Munich, is keen on a move this summer in order to play regular football and has suitors in the Premier League.

He is on Manchester United’s radar and Liverpool have also been pushing to sign him in the ongoing transfer window.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, the German champions have rejected a big money offer from Liverpool.

It has been claimed that the Reds put forward a €48m bid to sign the Dutchman this summer.

However, Bayern Munich knocked back the offer and are insistent that they do not want to sell Gravenberch.

While Thomas Tuchel is in favour of selling him, the Bayern Munich hierarchy do not want to give up on the player.

They want to hold on to him and hope that the coach finds a way to get him involved in the team this season.
