The Bluebirds have had a shaky start to their campaign as they have managed to secure only four points in their four opening matches.
Erol Bulut’s men have scored only six times combined in the opening four fixtures of the Championship and forward Callum Robinson is currently out injured.
It has been claimed that the Bluebirds are willing to let their 21-year-old striker Etete move on loan this summer.
League One outfits are keen to take the forward on loan and Charlton Athletic have emerged as a potential option for him.
However, the Championship outfit will not sanction Etete’s loan departure if they do not get a new striker before the transfer window shuts down.
The Bluebirds have been linked with a return for Kieffer Moore this summer but that move is yet to materialise.
Now it remains to be seen if Cardiff City will be able to sign a striker before Friday to sanction Etete’s departure.
