The 20-year-old striker has decided to leave Barcelona with just three days left in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Jorge Mendes and Fati’s father held a meeting in Seville on Tuesday to discuss their options and Spurs have emerged as strong favourites to sign him.

Chelsea and Dortmund are also interested in the young forward but for now, Spurs have the lead in the race to sign Fati.

According to Spanish sports daily Marca, Tottenham are indeed in advanced negotiations to get their hands on the striker.

The north London club are pushing to get a deal over the line to sign the striker on loan.

Barcelona are prepared to loan him out as long as a club are prepared to cover his wages in full.

Other clubs are still in the mix to sign Fati but at the moment Tottenham have made steady progress in talks to sign him.

Ange Postecoglou wants to have more options in attack and Fati could be joining the club before the window closes on Friday.
