The Yorkshire outfit brought in Sam Byram this summer to strengthen their defensive unit and he has played as a left-back.

However, on deadline day, Leeds are still in the hunt for another left-back as Junior Firpo and Byram are out due to injury.

Farke admitted that Leeds will stay awake until the end of the transfer window to see if they can strike any deals, with a prime Roberto Carlos his dream target.

However, the Whites boss indicated that they have enough men in their squad and stated that he is hoping that Firpo and Byram will be back after the international break.

“We will stay awake until the final seconds of the window”, Farke said at a press conference.

“If I could sign Roberto Carlos in his prime, I would be open to this.

“But we’ve got Junior Firpo and Sam Byram.

“I hope both will be back at the end of the international break.”

Leo Fuhr Hjelde featured in Leeds’ EFL Cup tie against Salford City this week in the absence of Firpo and Byram and he is expected to start against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
