Gnonto has been desperate to leave Leeds and even went on strike earlier in the transfer window in an effort to force an exit.

The winger was forced to admit defeat and was reintegrated into the Leeds squad.

Whites boss Daniel Farke is counting on Gnonto and the club do not want to sell him, with no pressure being applied as there is no clause in his contract.

Everton remain keen on Gnonto though and have tried to speak to Leeds once again about a deal.

The Toffees are receiving no encouragement.

Everton have been told that Leeds’ position remains unchanged and they are not willing to let the winger go before the transfer window closes.

The jury is out on whether Everton will test that position by slapping in a big bid for Gnonto in the remaining hours of the transfer window.
