As the transfer deadline approaches, the Owls still want reinforcements to add to the squad and they are hard at work.

Sheffield Wednesday are trying to put together a deal to land midfielder Buckley from Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers.

Ewood boss Jon Dahl Tomasson is happy for Buckley to go elsewhere and seek game time.

Welsh giants Swansea have shown interest in signing Buckley, but Wednesday are putting in the hard yards to get a deal done.

The switch would see Buckley head to Hillsborough on a loan deal.

He would be looking to make sure he is playing on a regular basis for Wednesday.

Buckley came through the youth set-up at Blackburn and made his senior debut for the club in 2019 against his suitors, Sheffield Wednesday.
