Che Adams is set to stay as Southampton have decided to block his potential loan move to Wolves, according to The Athletic.

Following Southampton’s relegation, the 27-year-old appeared to be all set to depart St Mary’s this summer.

Several Premier League outfits are interested in Adams and Wolves boss Gary O’Neil is an admirer of his talents.

Wolves are desperate to bring in a striker as the Midlands outfit have struggled in front of goal this season.

The Molineux outfit are interested in taking Adams on loan from Southampton, with the option to make the move permanent.

However, Saints have decided to block Adams potential exit this summer and the player is set to stay with Southampton.

Southampton are expected to offload striker Paul Onuachu however, with a move to Metz in the offing.

Now that the transfer window is nearing its end, Wolves have to look elsewhere to find their goalscoring solution.
