The Whites have struggled to make a telling start to life in the Championship as they have managed to secure only one win from their opening five matches.

Prutton described the Lions as very juicy opponents from his experience and admitted that the Millwall boss Gary Rowett has done a very good job.

The Lions, however, also have had a shaky start to their campaign as they are currently sitting 12th in the Championship table.

The former Whites midfielder insisted that facing Millwall is going to be a fiery test for the Elland Road outfit.

“Having played in these games both home and away, I know that they are very, very juicy indeed”, Prutton told the Yorkshire Evening Post about facing Millwall as a Leeds player.

“Gary has now done well with Millwall over a consistent period of time and there was obviously the heartache of missing out on the play-offs on the very last day of the season.

“There’s been just that little bit of unrest since.

“I saw it at Norwich with regards to the fan base.

“But Gary has been long enough in this game to know exactly what it is to deal with the slings and arrows so I think for Leeds it’s quite a sharp welcome back.”

Leeds strengthened with fresh faces towards the end of the transfer window and now the pressure will be firmly on boss Daniel Farke to deliver.
