The Glasgow giants made hard work of Motherwell this weekend and only managed to beat them 1-0 at home in the Scottish Premiership clash.

The Rangers fans reacted badly to their side’s laborious win and roundly booed them off the pitch at Ibrox on Sunday.

Rangers have won three games on the trot with three clean sheets, but Michael Beale remains a divisive figure amongst the fans with many wanting the club to sack him.

Miller conceded that he has been on the receiving end as a player when the Rangers fans turn on the team and that is exactly what happened on Sunday.

The Rangers legend stressed that towards the end of the game, he could feel the toxicity emanating from the stands towards the team and the manager.

The former Rangers striker said on Clyde 1’s Superscoreboard: “It was toxic towards the end of that game.

“You could sense it and I have been there as a player when you are only winning 1-0 against a lesser level of opposition.

“I have been there before and I could feel it in the stands.”

Rangers have a Scottish League Cup quarter-final clash against Livingston at Ibrox on Wednesday evening.
