Clement took charge of the club last month after Rangers decided to part ways with Michael Beale following a run of poor performances and results.
The Belgian has won four of his opening five games in charge of the team, including reaching the final of the Scottish League Cup.
Ferguson believes the Rangers team must be carrying some confidence with the way they have been playing under the new manager where they have looked much a better side.
The Rangers legend admitted that he likes the way Clement has behaved since taking charge of the team and the confidence he exudes while sitting on the hot seat at Ibrox.
The former Rangers captain said on the Go Radio Football Show: “They have got to take a lot of confidence, certainly from the run they have been on – four wins and one draw in the five games the new manager has been in.
“You can see the confidence starting to creep back in, but it is still early doors and I am not getting too carried away.
“But I just like his mannerisms, I like the way he comes out and I am highly impressed by him.”
Clement will hope to register his first win in Europe as Rangers boss when his side take on Sparta Prague at Ibrox tonight.
