AC Milan are continuing to look to snap up Clement Lenglet, despite Aston Villa boss Unai Emery speaking to the defender and urging him to stay.
Lenglet is on loan at Villa Park from Barcelona, but has struggled for regular game time this season.
AC Milan believe the centre-back would be a perfect fit and have been looking at loaning him, something Barcelona would approve of.
Lenglet has played in Aston Villa’s last three Premier League games, but AC Milan are not ending their interest, according Italian outlet Calciomercato.com.
It is claimed that Emery has spoken to Lenglet in recent days to try to convince him to stay at Aston Villa.
And the game time the defender is now getting could play a big role in convincing him.
AC Milan have not been put off yet though and still want to position themselves to secure Lenglet if possible.
The defender has never played in Serie A, with his game time coming in La Liga, Ligue 1 and the Premier League.
