Genoa defender Radu Dragusin has given his approval to a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the winter transfer window.

Spurs have made landing a new centre-back a priority for the window and they are moving to get the signing done quickly.

Talks are being held between Genoa and Tottenham, with the Italian side looking for a package of around €30m to let Dragusin go.

On the player’s side an important step has now been taken as, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Dragusin has given his approval to a move to Tottenham.

Dragusin, despite not having been looking to leave Genoa in January, is prepared to switch to Tottenham.

Spurs will now try to reach an agreement with Genoa to hand Ange Postecoglou a new centre-back.

The Romania international has turned out 21 times for Genoa so far this season, chipping in with goals against Hellas Verona and Inter.

Genoa now look as if they will need to tackle the rest of the season without being able to call upon Dragusin.
