Tottenham Hotspur have not said their last word on a swoop for Jean-Clair Todibo, but Chelsea have now also joined the hunt for him.

Todibo has been impressing in Ligue 1 with Nice and the French side are aware the centre-back is a man in demand this month, even though they are against selling.

Tottenham have been courting Todibo, but have recently focused more on Genoa defender Radu Dragusin as they scramble to bring in a centre-back as soon as they can.

However, despite their efforts in the direction of Dragusin, Tottenham have not yet said their last word on Todibo, according to French outlet Foot Mercato.

Spurs remain interested in Todibo, despite Nice being unwilling to sell, but now also have extra competition as in recent days Chelsea have joined the hunt for the defender.

Mauricio Pochettino is not fully happy with his defensive options and the club are looking at the possibility of bringing Todibo to Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United, long time suitors, continue to be keen on the player.

The Red Devils are still sending scouts to watch Todibo closely as they bid to do their homework on a defender they could try to sign this month.
