Leeds United are pushing for the signature of Liverpool attacking midfielder Fabio Carvalho on loan, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Whites boss Daniel Farke has insisted he is happy with the squad at his disposal, but behind the scenes, the club are trying to do business in the window.

Carvalho has just returned to Liverpool after spending the first half of the season on loan at RB Leipzig in Germany.

He did not feature regularly in Germany; Liverpool will send him out on another loan spell and Leeds want him at Elland Road.

The Whites are pushing to snap up Carvalho, but face significant competition.

Fellow Championship sides Southampton and Hull City are also putting in real efforts to sign the Portuguese talent.

Wolves are keen too and would represent an option for Carvalho to play Premier League football.

Liverpool will carefully look at what is the best loan move for Carvalho and are keen to make sure he plays regular football wherever he goes.
