Former Besiktas sporting director Ceyhun Kazanci has insisted that Arsenal have sent scouts to watch versatile Fenerbahce star Ferdi Kadioglu.
Arsenal have been linked with wanting Kadioglu and could make a move to try to add him to Mikel Arteta’s squad in this month’s window.
And the Gunners look to have thoroughly done their homework on the Turkey international, who is primarily used by Fenerbahce as a left-back.
Besiktas sporting director Kazanci admits that Arsenal have had scouts watching Kadioglu closely and believes it is not much of a secret anymore.
“Arsenal’s scout was here [in Istanbul] recently”, Kazanci was quoted as saying by Turkish daily Star.
“He watched a player from Fenerbahce.”
Asked if the talk it was Kadioglu is true, the sporting director added: “This has come out already, it’s not untrue.”
The full-back has made 24 appearances across all competitions for Fenerbahce so far this season, providing three assists.
He has a deal with the Yellow Canaries which is due to run through until the summer of 2026.
