Leicester City are yet to move forward with their interest in Stefano Sensi after having made initial contact with Inter.

Sensi has emerged as a target for the Championship league leaders, who are looking at potentially signing him.

The Italian club are keen on offloading the player as he is not currently part of Inter coach Simone Inzaghi’s plans.

Sensi’s contract expires in June, though Inter plan to earn €2m from his sale in the ongoing transfer window.

However, the Foxes, after having made initial contact, have not yet moved forward with their interest and sent a bid to Inter, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato.

It now remains to be seen whether Enzo Maresca’s side do decide to move forward with their interest in the coming days.

Maresca spoke about his fondness for the player in his last press conference, insisting that Sensi is one player he likes.

Leicester could need to make space in their squad to sign Sensi this month.

The 28-year-old has only featured in three Serie A matches for Inter so far this season.
