Amad Diallo is keen to ‘respect’ Sunderland amid interest from Middlesbrough and has no plans to leave Manchester United this month, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Manchester United winger shone in the Championship on loan at Sunderland last season.
Amad is a man in demand in the division this month as clubs eye snapping him up from Manchester United on another loan stint.
Middlesbrough have been strongly linked with Amad amid suggestions they are firmly leading the chase.
A loan though looks to be off the table as Amad does not plan to leave Old Trafford and has directly told Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag.
It is also claimed that, in relation to Middlesbrough, Amad wants to ‘respect’ Sunderland, appearing to rule out any consideration of a Riverside move.
Amad will be looking to try to get himself in the mix for regular game time at Manchester United between now and the end of the season.
Whether the situation on his availability changes between now and the end of the window this month remains to be seen.
