Millwall will not have an option or an obligation to buy in their loan deal for Tottenham Hotspur’s Japhet Tanganga, according to the Sun.

Tanganga is back at Spurs following the end of his loan stint in Germany with Augsburg, where he failed to feature in a single game.

Tottenham have been looking for a new loan for the defender and Championship side Millwall have won the race.

With Tanganga out of favour at Spurs under Ange Postecoglou it was speculated the loan could contain an option for Millwall to keep him.

However, there is neither an obligation to buy nor an option to buy including in the loan agreement between the two clubs.

Tanganga could be involved in training with Millwall on Thursday.

Millwall are due to next take on second bottom QPR in the Championship this weekend, before then playing host to Preston North End.

They currently sit in 16th in the Championship and will be keen to close the distance to the playoffs in the coming weeks.
