Greek side Aris Salonika have agreed a move with Sunderland to take winger Jewison Bennette on loan for the remainder of the season, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The 19-year-old has been close to a move away from Stadium of Light for quite some time with the Greek side being engaged in discussions.
Things have now been sorted out and the player is set to move to Greece.
It will be Bennette’s first move away from the Stadium of Light after having joined the Black Cats in the summer of 2022.
He has found his chances limited having managed just 20 appearances over the course of his one-and-a-half year stay.
His only appearance in the Championship this season came as an 81st-minute substitute against Southampton in September.
Bennette has been a Costa Rica international since 2021 and has notched up 12 appearances for his country.
It now remains to be seen how quickly the two clubs manage to wrap things up for the player to move to Greece.
