Sunderland currently have no offer on the table for the services of Alex Pritchard, who is keen to depart the club this month, according to the Sunderland Echo.

Pritchard is now inside the final year of his Sunderland contract and was left unhappy at the club not offering him a new deal last summer.

The midfielder’s performances on the pitch did lead to Sunderland offering him fresh terms earlier this month, but they are significantly less than the proposals now on the table elsewhere.

Pritchard told the club on Friday that he did not wish to be considered for selection for Sunderland’s meeting with Stoke City on Saturday as he seeks an exit before the transfer window shuts on Thursday.

He has drawn interest from Tony Mowbray’s Birmingham City and Turkish side Sivasspor.

However, as of now, there is no offer on the table with Sunderland for the midfielder.

There remains time for the situation to change, but no official bid has yet been given to the Black Cats for the player.

Sunderland are not opposed to letting Pritchard go, but would ideally want a replacement bringing in through the door.
