Brentford boss Thomas Frank has his admirers at Liverpool due to the stylistic similarity his team have to Jurgen Klopp’s side, according to The Athletic.
Liverpool are now set to start the process of identifying a new manager after Klopp announced that he will be leaving at the end of the season.
The Reds’ data team have been analysing candidates since November when the Liverpool manager confided to the club’s hierarchy that would be moving on.
However, Liverpool are yet to approach anyone and were wary of the news leaking if they got in touch with agents or any potential candidates.
Several names are in the fray and it has been claimed that Frank has his backers inside the Liverpool hierarchy.
The Dane has earned praise for the way he has stabilised Brentford into a regular feature in the Premier League.
Liverpool are also fans of his football, which many feel has stylistic similarities with Klopp’s side at Anfield.
Xabi Alonso, Roberto De Zerbi and Julian Nagelsmann are all believed to be on Liverpool’s radar as well.
