Celtic defender Gustaf Lagerbielke is on the verge of completing a move to Italian side Lecce.
Lagerbielke only joined Celtic in last summer’s transfer window to boost Brendan Rodgers’ options in the centre of defence.
The Swede though has struggled to stand out at the Scottish giants and is now set for a move to Italy to try to get his career back on track.
The operation is in its final stages, according to Sky Italia, with the final paperwork details being completed between the two clubs.
Once they are in place, Lagerbielke will be able to undergo his medical checks with Lecce.
Should he come through the tests without an issue then he will be able to put pen to paper to a contract with the Italian side.
The exact terms of the deal taking the Swede to Italy are unclear.
For Celtic, shifting out Lagerbielke will create further room in Rodgers’ squad and it remains to be seen if a replacement is signed.
