Pablo Fornals’ exit from West Ham is likely to depend on the club finding a replacement for the Spaniard ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline, according to the Daily Mirror.

The 27-year-old midfielder has been in talks to join Real Betis from West Ham in the ongoing winter transfer window.

He wants to return to Spain and has already given his consent to a potential transfer to Real Betis.

The Spanish club have also been making progress in talks with West Ham over both a loan and a permanent deal to sign Fornals.

However, it has been claimed that any potential deal is likely hinging on the Hammers sourcing a replacement for the midfielder.

David Moyes is prepared to let Fornals go but the West Ham boss is not keen to weaken his overall squad.

The Hammers are keen to bring in a replacement before sanctioning Fornals’ move to Real Betis in the coming days.

Fornals and Betis want the move but could have to wait for West Ham to find and work out a deal for a replacement.
