Real Betis’ talks with West Ham on Pablo Fornals are progressing well after the player gave the green light to a potential move to the Spanish club, according to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti.

Fornals, who has less than six months remaining on his current contract, has been more of a bit part player at the London Stadium this term, despite making 15 top-flight appearances.

Following the arrival of Kalvin Phillips, the Hammers are open to moving Fornals and Real Betis are pushing to sign him, despite having the chance to sign him on a free transfer in the summer.

Fornals has already given his approval to the potential move to Spain.

Now talks between the two involved clubs are progressing well and a move could be finalised by the end of the window.

Once the deal goes through it will end the Spaniard’s four-and-a-half year stint in England allowing him to return to Spain.

With transfer deadline day fast approaching it remains to be seen how soon a move for Fornals can be arranged.

Fornals has played international football with Spain having made his debut back in 2016.
