Cardiff City have made contact with Celtic regarding a possible move for David Turnbull, according to Sky Sports.

The 24-year-old midfielder joined Celtic from Motherwell in August 2020 and has featured 134 times for the Bhoys.

Turnbull is a bit part player under Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers and has started only nine times in the league so far this season.

The midfielder is attracting interest from south of the border, as he is on Cardiff City’s transfer wish list.

It has been claimed that Cardiff have been in touch with Celtic about taking Turnbull to England this month.

The Bluebirds are eyeing a spot in the playoffs and believe that the Bhoys star will be able to help them achieve their goal.

Turnbull’s contract with Celtic will expire in May 2024 and Celtic might be willing to cash in on the player this month.

Now that transfer deadline day is closing in, all eyes will be on Cardiff City to see whether they will be able to negotiate a deal for the midfielder on time.
