A move to Germany is not on the cards for Rangers star Rabbi Matondo despite contrary claims, according to the Rangers Review.

The 23-year-old winger joined Rangers in the summer of 2022 from Schalke, but has not yet lived up to expectations in Glasgow.

This season, Matondo has featured 12 times in the league for Rangers, starting only four of them.

Philippe Clement is looking to add fresh faces to his forward line-up and Matondo has been linked with an exit.

It has been suggested the Rangers’ star is garnering interest in Germany as Mainz are looking to sign him.

However, it has been claimed there is no truth in the claims suggesting a move to Germany is on the cards for Matondo.

The 23-year-old has two and a half years left on his Rangers contract and has featured 47 times for the Gers.

Matondo has so far scored one goal and registered three assists in the league and he will be hoping for more opportunities.
