A move for Al Ittihad star Jota to West Ham United is unlikely this month due to tax issues, according to the Guardian.

The 24-year-old made a move to the Saudi Pro League to join Al Ittihad from Celtic in the summer.

Jota though quickly fell out of favour with the Saudi outfit and the club have not registered him for the league.

West Ham are eager to add a forward to their line-up and they have a firm interest in bringing Jota to London.

The Hammers are pushing to sign the 24-year-old winger on loan in the ongoing window, but they are having a hard time solving tax issues to complete the deal.

Now, it has been claimed that a move for former Celtic star Jota to the London stadium is unlikely due to tax obstacles.

West Ham are keen on adding fresh faces to their forward department and they have accepted a bid for Said Benrahma.

Now it remains to be seen whether West Ham will look at other options to bring in a forward before Thursday.
