West Bromwich Albion are set to sign Celtic star Mikey Johnston and the player will undergo a medical before finalising his move, according to the Daily Telegraph

The Baggies are keen on strengthening their squad before the window ends and Carlos Corberan has a winger on his agenda.

West Brom have identified Celtic academy product Johnston as a good fit for their squad and want to take him on loan.

Johnston has played a bit part role for Celtic so far this season and has started only three games in the league.

It has been suggested that West Brom opened discussions with Cletic to bring the player on loan to the Hawthorns.

And it has been claimed that Corberan’s side are set to land Johnston on loan on deadline day.

The 24-year-old winger spent last season on loan with Portuguese outfit Vitoria Guimaraes and made 25 league appearances for them.

Johnston is set to undergo a medical before he puts pen to paper to finalise a loan deal for the rest of the season.
