Former Scottish top flight star Tam McManus is pleased that that former Sunderland and Rangers boss Michael Beale’s behaviour ahead of taking the job at Ibrox has been called out.
Beale has been out of work since being sacked at Sunderland last month and his stock has never been lower as a manager, with two sackings in one season.
He was removed as Rangers boss in October last year and since then the club have won the Scottish League Cup and Philippe Clement has taken them to the summit of the Scottish Premiership.
Former Rangers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst recently lambasted Beale for being in the stands to watch a Gers game just before the Dutchman was sacked.
Many felt that piled the pressure on Van Bronckhorst and some feel an unbroken rule in managerial circles was broken.
McManus insisted that it was awful behaviour on Beale’s part and dubbed the ex-Sunderland manager’s behaviour snake like.
The former striker, reacting to Van Bronckhorst’s comments, took to X and wrote: “Said this at the time.
“Snake-like behaviour from Beale and glad GVB has called him out.”
Beale was blamed for Rangers’ poor recruitment last summer and then failed to get back on track at Sunderland.
Sunderland are now being bossed by Mike Dodds until the summer, with Beale also proving to be unpopular with Black Cats fans.
