Millwall boss Neil Harris has dubbed Tottenham Hotspur loanee Japhet Tanganga’s performance against Blackburn Rovers outstanding and hailed his leadership skills.

Tottenham sent the 24-year-old centre-back on loan to Millwall for the rest of the season in the winter transfer window.

Tanganga, since his arrival at the Den, has established himself as a regular in the Millwall starting line-up and on Tuesday he helped his team secure a draw against Blackburn Rovers.

The Tottenham loanee’s performance impressed Harris and he praised Tanganga’s leadership display on the pitch against Blackburn Rovers.

Harris pointed out that Tanganga put in a strong defensive performance against Rovers and stressed that the defender also showcased his ability on the ball.

“I thought he was outstanding again tonight”, Harris was quoted as saying by the Southwark News.

“I thought he was really strong, showed real good leadership along with abilities on the ball.”

Tanganga has so far featured in eight league games for Millwall and has picked up three cautions in the process.
