Nicolo Zaniolo’s agent Claudio Vigorelli is clear that his client still has time at Aston Villa to establish himself under Unai Emery.

The attacker is currently spending the season on loan at Aston Villa from Turkish side Galatasaray, but has found the going difficult.

It has been suggested he will not stay at Aston Villa beyond the end of the loan, with several Serie A clubs already queuing up to take him back to Italy.

Vigorelli, who admits that Zaniolo is desperate to be in the Italy squad for Euro 2024, believes that the attacker still has time to shine at Aston Villa, even though the competition is tough.

He insists that Zaniolo wanted to try the Premier League and the experience is developing him.

“Nicolo strongly wants to go to the European Championship next summer”, Vigorelli told Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

“He’s competing at Aston Villa, where the competition is tough.

“He strongly wanted the Premier League and is trying to carve out a starring role for himself – he still has several months to establish himself.

“The experience in England and the previous one at Galatasaray are making him grow as a player and as a man.

“We are talking a lot, I can feel him charged up and motivated.”

Zaniolo got 27 minutes on the pitch in Aston Villa’s 2-0 win over Wolves at the weekend and will be desperate for the chance to start at Manchester City on Wednesday.

He has been linked with a summer move to West Ham United.
