Rangers are still expected to sign Levski Sofia defender Jose Cordoba this summer but ‘plenty’ of other clubs are keen, according to the Pink Un.
Philippe Clement’s side are preparing for Saturday’s Scottish Cup final against Celtic at Hampden Park as they push to lift a second trophy this season.
However, the disappointment of failing to wrestle away the league from Celtic is still fresh and the club are already making moves to strengthen the squad further this summer.
Clement wants to freshen up his defence and the club are in talks about getting a deal over the line to sign Cordoba from Levski Sofia.
It is claimed the ‘expectation is’ that he will move to Rangers, but there are still a host of clubs keen.
It is not a done deal and Rangers are could still have to fight with other clubs for his signature.
He has been on Norwich City’s radar but the club are claimed to be not actively trying to sign him at the moment.
The Glasgow giants are expected to pay an initial fee of £2m with the final figure expected to rise up to £3.2m with add-ons.
