Leeds United have just sold Archie Gray to Tottenham Hotspur, but another Whites player could also be soon heading through the Elland Road exit door.
Whites defender Diego Llorente, who spent last season out on loan at Roma in Italy, is wanted by La Liga club Real Betis.
The Spanish side have just snapped up Marc Roca from Leeds following a successful loan spell and now want to repeat the trick with Llorente.
Betis are speeding up their efforts to get Llorente signed and, according to Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo, have a date in mind.
The club want to be able to have Llorente ready to join pre-season training under Manuel Pellegrini on Monday.
Landing a centre-back by that date is key for Betis as they have lost Chadi Riad and Sokratis, while German Pezzella is at the Copa America.
There are continuing question marks over the fitness of Marc Bartra.
Llorente is the man that Betis want, but if a deal cannot be done they will be forced to look at other options.
The Spaniard has another two years on his contract at Leeds.
