Celtic talent Rocco Vata is set to complete a move to English Championship side Watford, with a medical booked for today, according to the Daily Record.

The Scottish champions have been keen to keep hold of the 19-year-old, but they have failed with their efforts to do so.

Vata is being tempted south of the border to join Watford.

The Hornets have a four-year deal in place for Vata to put pen to paper to and that should happen after he has come through his medical.

When Vata completes the move to Watford, Celtic will be due training compensation of £237,000.

Brendan Rodgers gave the forward just three minutes of football in the Scottish Premiership last season.

Vata played in the Bhoys’ 1-1 draw with Aberdeen and though he was on the bench a further four occasions in the league he did not get on the pitch.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international departs Celtic Park having made six senior outings over the course of his time at the club.
