Scottish Championship outfit Queen’s Park are weighing up a move for Sunderland starlet Henry Fieldson, according to the Daily Record.

The 19-year-old centre-back is a product of Sunderland academy and he is highly rated at the club.

Last season, Fieldson featured 20 times in the Premier League 2 for Sunderland Under-21s and picked up six cautions.

Sunderland want to provide the player with first-team exposure and are willing to let Fieldson go out on loan for the approaching campaign.

The young centre-back is currently trialing with Scottish Championship outfit Queen’s Park.

Fieldson has managed to impress Spiders boss Callum Davidson and it has been claimed that they are considering a move for the centre-back.

Queen’s Park finished eighth in the Scottish Championship table last season and a move to the Glasgow outfit might help the youngster’s development.

It remains to be seen whether the Scottish club will be able to come to an agreement with Sunderland to take the player to Scotland.
