Birmingham City are in the race to sign Peterborough United left-back Harrison Burrows, who has also been a target for Sheffield United, according to journalist Darren Witcoop.
Burrows is in the final year of his contract with Posh and has been heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer.
Sheffield United, who got relegated from the Premier League last season, are interested in getting their hands on him.
He even has a contract offer on his table from the Blades, but the club’s takeover process has delayed all transfer activity.
It has encouraged other clubs to get involved and it has been claimed Birmingham City are in the hunt.
Blues are looking to go straight back up to the Championship after getting relegated to League One last season.
They are pushing to get their hands on Burrows ahead of interest from clubs in the Championship.
Landing Burrows, an elite League One level performer, would boost Blues’ prospects ahead of the new season.
And Birmingham have been willing to splash the cash needed to earn promotion from League One next season.
