Lens forward Elye Wahi is one of the strikers West Ham are considering at this stage of the summer transfer window, according to The Athletic.

Danny Ings is the only recognised striker in West Ham’s pre-season squad that have travelled to Austria under new manager Julen Lopetegui.

The Hammers are looking to bring in a recognised striker this summer and are considering several options.

Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran is a top target, but the Hammers are also looking at a few other forwards this summer.

It has been claimed that Lens attacker Wahi is one of the names on West Ham sporting director Tim Steidten’s shortlist.

The striker was on West Ham’s radar last summer as well but they could not agree on a deal with Lens.

Wahi scored 12 times in all competitions last season and is again being closely followed by the East London club.

Lens finished seventh in Ligue 1 with the help of Wahi’s goals, qualifying for the Europa Conference League.

Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri and Newcastle United striker Callum Wilson are also on West Ham’s radar.
