Everton have distanced themselves from talk they are looking to sign Leicester City target Arthur Melo from Juventus this summer, according to The Athletic.
Arthur spent last season at Fiorentina and Juventus are keen to move him on a permanent deal this summer.
The Brazilian had a disastrous loan spell at Liverpool previously where he struggled for fitness before returning to Turin last year, but he wants to return to the Premier League.
Both Everton and Leicester are suggested to be monitoring Arthur’s situation at the moment.
However, it has been claimed that the Toffees have distanced themselves from talk of signing the Juventus midfielder in the ongoing window.
Everton are active in the market and are expected to try and sign a midfield replacement for Amadou Onana.
While interest in Arthur has been played down, the Brazilian could still represent an attractive option as the summer window draws on.
Serie A outfit Como are pushing to sign Arthur, with Cesc Fabregas personally trying to convince the player to join his team.
Arthur though would prefer the Premier League.
