Newcastle United do admire Malick Thiaw, but they have not made a firm decision on whether to pursue the AC Milan defender this summer, according to The Athletic.

 

The German defender has been heavily linked with a move to Newcastle in the ongoing summer transfer window.

 

They has been talk of Newcastle tabling bids for him and speculation over an imminent move for the defender to the Premier League.

 

 

His agent came out on Monday to kill the rumours of an imminent transfer to Newcastle and insisted that there was nothing to it.

 

It has been claimed that Newcastle are also yet to make a decision on whether to try and sign the AC Milan centre-back this summer.

 

 

Thiaw is admired at Newcastle and is part of their shortlist of targets but a firm call has not been taken yet.

AC Milan are open to offers for him but want €40m before sanctioning his departure in the coming weeks.
