Queens Park Rangers have a deal in place to sign Juventus full-back Gianluca Frabotta, but are waiting to move on Watford target Kenneth Paal from their squad.

Marti Cifuentes wants a new left-back in his squad as he looks to rebuild a team that survived by the skin of their teeth in the Championship last season.

Paal made 44 Championship appearances last term, and is wanted by Watford, while the QPR boss wants to bring in a replacement for him.

Juventus’ Frabotta has been identified as their top target and work has been done to take him to Loftus Road in the ongoing transfer window.

According to Italian broadcaster Sky Italia, QPR have agreed on a deal in principle with Juventus to sign the Italian left-back.

Personal terms have also been thrashed out between the London club and the 25-year-old’s camp.

Once the formalities of the transfer are completed, a three-year deal will be signed by Frabotta.

However, the Italian’s arrival has to wait until Paal leaves Loftus Road in the ongoing transfer window.

Work is already under way for QPR to move on the 27-year-old and bring in Frabotta.
