West Ham United have ‘accepted the contract terms’ requested by one of their targets and will ‘hold a final meeting’ with his agent today.

Hammers technical director Tim Steidten is hard at work to deliver and improved and reshaped squad for new boss Julen Lopetegui this summer.

The club are in the process of signing Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United, while Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Borussia Dortmund’s Niclas Fullkrug are being negotiated for.

West Ham are also pushing for free agent midfielder Guido Rodriguez and are the player’s priority.

Progress has been made rapidly and, according to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, West Ham have ‘accepted the contract terms’ that Rodriguez’s camp have requested.

West Ham are now due to meet Rodriguez’s agent later today for a ‘final meeting’ to finalise the deal.

Rodriguez is able to join West Ham as a free agent as his contract at Spanish La Liga side Real Betis has expired.

A host of clubs have been chasing the midfielder’s services, but West Ham now look to be on the cusp of hoovering him up.
