Leeds United are ‘staying in the race’ to land a winger who is in demand amongst Championship clubs this summer, according to journalist Alan Nixon.

Daniel Farke’s side lost Crysencio Summerville to West Ham United recently and are yet to replace him, while speculation about a possible Elland Road exit continues to swirl around Willy Gnonto.

Leeds have been trying to land Jonathan Rowe from Norwich City, but Marseille are now also in the race for the winger and that complicates matters.

The Whites have been showing interest in Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, however Sheffield United are winning that race.

A host of Championship sides want Rak-Sakyi on loan, including Hull City, but Leeds are also ‘staying in the race’.

Sheffield United are in pole position as they are prepared to meet Palace’s loan fee demand and give the winger a wage increase.

It is unclear if Leeds will put their full focus on Rak-Sakyi or continue to push for Rowe.

Rak-Sakyi is a highly rated winger and Crystal Palace are keen for him to enjoy a season of regular game time in the second tier.
