Sporting Lisbon are still in negotiations with Barcelona as they aim to close out a deal to sign Everton target Vitor Roque this summer.

Roque is expected to leave Barcelona before the end of the transfer window on 30th August this summer.

Everton are interested in signing him and have made an approach to Barcelona to take the forward to Goodison Park.

However, Sporting Lisbon have an edge in the race to sign the Roque and are in advanced negotiations with Barcelona.

According to Spanish outlet Relevo, talks are still ongoing between the two clubs to close out an agreement.

However, the contours of a deal are more or less in place for Roque to move to Sporting Lisbon this summer.

The Portuguese giants are set to pay a fee of more than €30m, including add-ons, to Barcelona for the striker’s transfer.

It remains to be seen if Everton try to hijack Sporting Lisbon’s pursuit by tabling a better offer to the Catalan giants.
