Wolves centre-back Santi Bueno could leave the club on loan if the Molineux outfit are able to sign a new central defender this summer, according to the Express & Star.

The Uruguay international joined the Premier League outfit last season from Spanish side Girona on a five-year deal.

Bueno’s game time at Molineux in the last campaign was limited as the 25-year-old started only nine league matches under Gary O’Neil.

O’Neil is still keen on bringing in new players this month and wants to sign a centre-back.

Wolves lost their star centre-back Max Kilman to West Ham this summer and Wolves are prioritising bringing a centre-back.

And if they are able to bring in Dara O’Shea from Burnley or any other senior centre-back by the end of this month, Bueno could end up going out on loan.

The Clarets defender, however, is currently in talks with Brentford; Scottish giants Celtic are also big admirers.

Bueno will be looking to secure more game time this season if Wolves fail to bring in a new centre-back and he ends up staying at Molineux.
