Celtic are interested in bring Odsonne Edouard back to the club in the event that Eddie Nketiah joins Crystal Palace, according to journalist Bobby Manzi.

Palace are moving to bring in Nketiah from Arsenal and their bid is expected to be accepted by the Gunners.

Should Nketiah move to Selhurst Park then it may give encouragement to clubs keen on Edouard as Palace could make him available.

And Celtic are in that group, with the Scottish champions interested in bringing Edouard back to Celtic Park.

They are flush with cash after adding to their transfer kitty by selling Matt O’Riley to Brighton for a fee which could become a Scottish record sale.

Bringing Edouard back north of the border though would be an expensive operation.

The striker made a big impact during his time at Celtic Park and landing him would be considered to be a coup.

Brendan Rodgers wants additions to be made before the transfer window slams shut ahead of a campaign in the Champions League.

Edouard is still just 26 years old and played 30 times for Crystal Palace in the Premier League last season, scoring on seven occasions.
