Bilal El Khannouss has refused to train with the Genk squad amidst interest from Leicester City in the ongoing transfer window.
Leicester are interested in signing the attacking midfielder from Genk and have already failed with two offers.
Genk rejected their recent offer of €19m and sporting director Dimitri De Conde has refused to hold talks with the player’s entourage over a transfer.
The 20-year-old Moroccan is now personally pushing to leave Genk in the final days of the transfer window.
According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, El Khannouss arrived at the club’s training base this morning and told Genk coach Thorsten Fink that he would not take part in the training.
He feels his entourage are being disrespected by the club.
The attacking midfielder wants to move to Leicester and is now set to go on strike to get the ball rolling.
Leicester are still pushing to sign him and are prepared to put in a third offer to sign the player.
It remains to be seen whether El Khannouss manages to force his way out of the club before Friday’s transfer deadline.
