Barcelona have been offered the chance to sign one of Tottenham Hotspur’s fringe stars and sporting director Deco has a ‘fundamental interest’ in working with the player.

The Catalans have been battling to reinforce their squad this summer amid continued financial issues.

They were recently keen to loan Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic, but look to have lost out on him to Red Bull Salzburg.

Now, according to Swiss outlet Fussball Europa, Barcelona have been ‘offered’ the chance to sign Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon.

It is suggested that Barcelona sporting director Deco has signalled a ‘fundamental interest’ in working with the Spaniard.

Reguilon is expected to leave Tottenham this summer as he is out of favour at the club.

If he cannot seal a move away today then there are other leagues where the windows remain open, including Portugal, the Netherlands, Greece, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.

Reguilon is claimed to be the subject of an offer from Turkish giants Fenerbahce.
