Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller admits it would be "very special" for him to make his Germany debut against England at Wembley next week.

Despite being 33 years old, Weidenfeller has been called up for the Germany national team and could well make his debut against England, with Manuel Neuer set to be between the sticks for the clash with Italy on Friday.

For Weidenfeller, playing against the Three Lions would be a dream come true, even if he does not want to take anything for granted at present.

"It would be very special to make my international debut at Wembley", Weidenfeller told reporters.
