Franck Ribery is confident of his chances of beating Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to the FIFA Ballon d'Or.

The France winger helped Bayern Munich win a Bundesliga, German Cup and Champions League treble last season, while more recently he aided his country as they reached the 2014 World Cup.

Ribery is considered a front-runner for the accolade, which will be presented at a FIFA gala on 13th January.

And the Frenchman is confident about his chances of ending up with the prestigious trophy.

Ribery told Le Monde: "I am confident. I have done all I have had to.

"If you look at my performances all year round, I have made the difference.

"I might not score in every game, but I set defences on fire. Ronaldo certainly scores more than me, but we do not have the same style."
